Professor Wilson’s scholarship straddles health law and biomedical ethics, family law, and religion and the law.  Much of her work is empirically grounded, whether examining the low uptake rate by courts and legislatures of the package of family law reforms proposed by the American Law Institute, or synthesizing empirical work by others for guides to policies that will be more protective of children, such as how better to protect children from sex offenses within the family. Professor Wilson's work has also benefitted from insights gleaned from the work she has done with legislatures to draft nuanced laws that balance plural interests in our increasingly diverse, and fractured, society.
